WHAT IS A COMMUNAL FARM DINNER?
It's Farm-to-Table without the "to." You are eating at our farm. We prepare everything from scratch using products from our farm or from farms close to us. All guests arrive at the same time and, after a quick farm tour, everyone sits down at either a long table or several tables. At that point course after course comes flowing in. Ale, your host and the pasta maker, introduces each course explaining the origin of that dish and where the ingredients come from. Food comes in slowly, at a pace that allows you to enjoy each bite. No one is rushing you to clear your plate. You are at our home, so sit back and enjoy.
WHAT DO WE PREPARE?
All of our dishes are traditional Italian recipes but perhaps not the most well-known dishes you may encounter at restaurants in the US, or not what you may know about Italian cuisine. Are you familiar with gran arso? Suppli`? Crozzetti? Strozzapreti? Porchetta? Risotto alla milanese? About nettle pasta? You can find that and more ... much more. We rarely repeat recipes. Our vegetarian guests love us because we do not cut corners, we go all out to make sure their alternative dish is as exciting as any meat course! We can accommodate clients that follow a LOW gluten diet but we are not set up to satisfy guests that follow a NO gluten or vegan diet.
WHEN?
We offer our communal dinners once a month. We have these events to showcase our products and to share our traditions with you. This is a great opportunity for us to connect you with our land and we bask in the energy that each group brings to the farm! Check upcoming dates here. Choose a lunch ($39/person) if you prefer a mid day event that allows you to take it easy with your drive back home (5 course meal). Select a dinner, $75/person, if you want a fancier evening meal where each detail is cared for, from the presentation on the plate to the complexity and the uniqueness of the recipes (8 course meal).
