Agricola Farm Remote Dinner

Join the Agricola team for a "remote" evening spent together cooking and savoring farm fresh food! We'll provide you with a basket of all the main ingredients for a four course meal (appetizer, pasta, meat, dessert) and a list of additional ingredients you will need. On the evening of May 10th, we will provide you with the link to connect through zoom and we'll cook together, have fun, laugh and eat. Plus you will have plenty of left overs! We have selected traditional Italian dishes that are delicious and easy to make.
WHEN:
Evening of Sunday, May 10th 2020
COST:
$48 per person ($5 off per household if you pick-up products from our farmstand)
Cost includes our farm products and the price of the zoom event
MENU:
Apetizer: torta di verdure (vegetable savory pie with lard crust)
Primo: tagliatelle alle ortiche (nettles tagliatelle)
Secondo: involtini di maiale con frittatine (boston butt involtini with frittata)
Dolce: torta di mascarpone e mele (mascarpone and apple cake)
EQUIPMENT NEEDED:
Oven, stove, cooking pans and pots, electric whisk (optional), rolling pin (or you can use a glass bottle), pasta colander, large knife, 2 pie molds (spring molds are ideal, you can also use muffin tins)
INGREDIENTS WE PROVIDE:
Tagliatelle, nettles, boston butt steaks, vegetables for the fritatta, butter, apples, mascarpone, dough for savory pie, herbs, flour, toothpicks
INGREDIENTS NOT PROVIDED BY US (per person):
8 eggs, 1 onion, 2 lbs mixed vegetables for the pie (broccoli, onions, asparagus, zucchini, kale, string beans, spinach, etc), salt, sugar (1/3 lb), baking powder (a few tablespoons), 2 cloves garlic, olive oil, your favorite drink(s)!
NOTE: for 2 people you will need a dozen eggs (instead of 8). The rest does not change because the pie size does not change so the other ingredients do not change for the pies (the single person will have more leftovers).
