FARM DINNERS
Once a month, every month, we open our farm house to a group of 30 people for a lovely evening full of food, laughter and friendship shared and developed around the long farm tables that have now hosted hundreds of people passionate about food, agriculture and humanely raised animals. You must purchase a "membership" to join us. The cost is $75 and you receive a dinner at the farm and 10% off any purchased meat on the day of the dinner.- check ahead of time the dates for our scheduled farm dinners. These are 5-course gourmet dinners. The events are BYOB and include a tour of the farm and the barn. Dinners are served in the rustic dining rooms of our 1850s farm house. The food is the product of the collaboration between chef Richard Witting and farmer Ale Rellini and of course using Agricola products in addition to produce from local farms and plenty of products foraged straight from our land. Read more here. Purchase tickets here. ~ please note that tickets are available only 2-3 weeks ahead of the dinner.

FARM LUNCHES
We are working with Chef Julia Clancy
for the pranzi, a brunch at the farm. Julia’s mother and grandmother were bakers so she grew up with the culture of good food in her blood. She has worked with top chefs in San Francisco, including the legendary Alice Waters and she has studied in Bologna, Italy, where she learned intimately about Italian food. Similarly to us, Julia is focused on simple food prepared with fresh, seasonal, and wholesome ingredients. These pranzi are served family style in long rustic tables in our 1850s farmhouse. $39/plate. This is a BYOB event. Visit our pranzi page or online store for tickets and information. |
FARM TO GRILL
During the summer on Sundays when we do not have a Pranzi, we will host a relaxed grilling experience for our farm guests. Check here for future dates. We are open from 11 to 2 for a fun and laid back afternoon at the farm. We fire up our grill and prepare meat and vegetables, including ribs, spiedini, sausages, bruschetta and all the Italian varieties of vegetables we are starting to grow! You can savor the food while sitting on some chairs scattered through our wild flower garden overlooking the farm with a 180 degree view of the green mountains (all the way from snake mountain to mount Mansfield). You need to purchase a ticket online for $10 (adults). Children pay at the door ($7 children under age 12 years, free for children under 6). The ticket incudes a plate of grilled meat or vegetables and a drink. You can purchase additional food at the event for you and your little ones, including more veggies and meat, salads and desserts. Tickets also include a farm tour with fun farm related activities for young and adults. You can bring your own alcoholic drink but please NO GLASS. We are lining up some live music for you. Also, special farm classes will be offered at 2pm during these days. Examples of classes include sausage making, wool working, felt working, edible wild herb, raviolo clinic, flowers and plants walks, soap making and more. Classes cost extra. If it rains we will dust off the tables and chairs in the renovated hay loft and enjoy live music up there.

PRIVATE EVENTS
We currently offer two options for people interested in having food-related events at Agricola Farm. For small parties (10 to 40 people) we have the Farm House, while for larger groups (10 to 200 people) we have the hay loft and the hay fields. We are very fortunate to have a lovely 1830s barn (in need of some TLC) and an 1850s victorian/georgian farm house with lots of character. The barn is an an active part of our farm and is used to host some of our furry friends on the bottom floor while the renovated hey loft is dedicated to hosting events for the ... less furry, human friends. We hosted our first barn wedding in October 2015 (~150 guests) and it was a blast. The space is versatile and we are looking forward to renting it to individuals interested in hosting events that fit with out goals and mission. We also host smaller events in our Farm House across the street from the barn. Please note that most of our animals are in the fields from May to November - we keep in only the sows about to farrow and piglets (with moms) 1 to 10 days old. Animals quarters are not open to guests of the private events unless you include a guided tour. Because of our set up, the barn space is best suited for couples or events where the hosts are looking for the authentic feeling of an active farm. There are many barns available in Vermont for events, so make sure we are offering what you are looking for. The farm house is ideal for birthday parties, rehearsal dinners, girls nights out etc. And of course you can always add a special class (wool spinning, soap making, sausage making, fiber dyeing, etc.), or farm tour in addition to renting the space.
